Why Laser?
You probably had your first sailing experience in an Optimist: a fast, one design racing class with national and international races. And that's exactly what Laser is offering! Next to this, Laser is an Olympic class with more than 173.000 sold all over the world and Laser is in the Netherlands a still growing class with enthousiastic and fanatical sailors. And because of the Laser Formula, Laser sailing is open for sailors of all ages and weights!
What is Laser Formula?
Actually Laser Formula means three Laser in one! Only the lower mast section and sail differ, in every other way they are all absolute Lasers and take you into the same world. The Formula Laser gives the youngest sailors the changes to make their sailingdreams come true and have the most fun! Starting with a Laser 4.7 - of which only the (shorter) lower mast section and sail (33% less square meters) differ from the standard Laser - , than the Laser Radial - with a slightly larger lower mast section and sail area (5.76m2) - up to the Laser. And in every class we organize the most comprehensive training and - national and international - events.
So: three Lasers in one! This is what makes Laser sailing attractive and accessible for sailors at every age or weight. Sailors at the youngest possible age can enter the world of Laser sailing; A world which offers to most beautiful sailing experience to both the race and club sailor! So are you ready for a Laser?
